Vintage Wine Shops

Vintage Wine Shops

Vintage wine shops have been around for a long time, and this is mainly because the criteria of vintage wine shops are different from other vintage item shops. We must point out at this point, for example, that the term “vintage” was traditionally used exclusively as part of wine jargon. That is to say, the process of creating wine is called vintage, and for the most part, “vintage” was used to define the quality of the wine by referring to the year and place of its origin (which is why some sommeliers take offense in any other usage of the word “vintage”). Vintage wine shops, therefore, are wine shops that cater to the discerning wine connoisseur, one who likes to know how old his or her bottle of wine is, and where his or her wine (which vineyard in which country, state, county...down to the very street address, if possible) came from.

There are, of course, many kinds of vintage wine shops – there are those that focus on certain years and decades, or certain places and regions; there are also vintage wine shops that offer every kind of vintage wine shops. Whichever you may prefer to browse around, remember to ask for a taste in of the wares – that's most of the fun of vintage wine shopping right there.

We are currently working on a listing of vintage wine shops for this section, sorted by location. Please bear with us, and if you would like to contribute, please send us vintage wine shop details.
